Limited Edition Archival Prints
Light, held still
across the American West and the Arctic.
Fine art photographs from the canyons of the Southwest, the ice of Iceland and Greenland, and the fog line of the Big Sur coast — printed in small, numbered editions.
Artist Statement
Three landscapes, one attention.
Every print in this collection began the same way — waiting. For the sun to drop into a slot canyon at the right angle, for a glacier to calve, for fog to lift off the water just long enough to see the rock beneath it. The subjects change with geography; the discipline doesn't.
Each image is printed in a limited edition on archival fine art paper and shipped ready to frame. If you don't see a size or finish you need below, get in touch — most work here can be printed to scale for a specific wall.

Editions & Process
How the prints are made
Every print is produced individually to order once you've confirmed size and finish, so lead times run 2–3 weeks depending on size and framing.
Printing
Archival pigment printing on 100% cotton rag paper, rated for 100+ years without fading under normal display conditions.
Sizes
Standard sizes run 16×20 to 40×60 in. Custom sizing available on request for a specific wall or space.
Editions
Each image is released in a numbered, limited edition. Edition size and remaining availability are listed with each print.
Framing
Available unframed, mounted, or in a solid walnut or black float frame. Every print ships insured, in a rigid crate.
About the Photographer
Douglas Sandquist
Doug has spent years returning to the same handful of landscapes — the slot canyons of the Southwest, the glaciers of Iceland and Greenland, the fog-bound coves south of Big Sur — waiting for the light to do something worth printing.
This gallery collects a small, ongoing edit of that work as fine art prints. The full archive of galleries, from these trips and others, lives on Smugmug.
